The MMS 479 Thanos is a legitimate 1/6th scale collectible figure released by Hot Toys in 2018, so authenticity is generally determined by the presence of official Hot Toys branding, a matching MPN on the packaging, and the inclusion of standard accessories like the Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity Stones. To verify your item, check for the Hot Toys logo on the figure's base and packaging, ensure the sculpting and paint quality match official product photography, and look for the specific MMS479 model number printed on the box. If the figure lacks these details or shows signs of poor manufacturing, it may be a counterfeit, in which case consulting a specialist or comparing it against verified listings is recommended.

Grading the Hot Toys MMS 479 Thanos involves a detailed inspection of the sculpt for paint transfers, chipping, or molding defects, particularly on the armor and face. You should also examine the articulation points for stress cracks and check the included accessories, such as the Infinity Gauntlet and weapons, for any missing parts or damage.
