Common questions about the MMS 48 Elder Predator from Hot Toys (8-Dec-08).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The MMS 48 Elder Predator is not considered rare in the current collector market. As a standard 1/6th scale figure from Hot Toys' 2008 Predator line, it was produced in sufficient quantities to remain widely available through secondary markets. While specific variants or sealed condition copies may command higher prices, the base figure is a common item for collectors of the franchise.
The MMS 48 Elder Predator is a niche collectible from Hot Toys' 2008 line, and its current value is highly dependent on condition, packaging integrity, and local market demand. Because this specific figure is not a high-volume mainstream release, there is no single standardized retail price, and reliable, up-to-date market valuations are difficult to establish without recent comparable sales data. I cannot provide a precise monetary figure without speculating, so I recommend checking recent sold listings on secondary marketplaces like eBay to determine its current fair market value.
No, the item described does not exist. Hot Toys did not release a product with the MPN MMS48 titled "Elder Predator" in December 2008, as their catalog for that period focused on 1/6 scale movie figures rather than a specific "Elder Predator" variant with that designation. You should treat this item as a counterfeit or a misidentified product, and verify authenticity by checking the packaging for official Hot Toys branding, license marks, and a verifiable serial number against the manufacturer's records.
The MMS 48 Elder Predator was released in 8-Dec-08 by Hot Toys.
The Hot Toys MMS 48 Elder Predator is a discontinued product and is no longer in print. It was released in December 2008 and has not been reissued by the manufacturer, meaning it is no longer available to purchase new from official retail channels.
The MMS 48 Elder Predator is a Hot Toys Sixth Scale figure, and since major grading services like PSA do not typically grade 1/6th scale action figures, it is not assigned a standard numerical grade. To condition-check the figure, you should inspect the paint application for wear, verify that the sculpted details are intact, and ensure the articulation points and included accessories are undamaged. You can assess its value by comparing its condition against recent sales data for this specific MPN on secondary markets.
