To condition-check a Hot Toys MMS 521 Captain Marvel, inspect the figure for common defects such as paint transfer on the costume, chipped plastic on the head sculpt or accessories, and loose joints. Examine the packaging for signs of wear, creasing, or previous opening, as this significantly impacts value for collectors seeking a sealed item. If you require a formal grade for insurance or sale purposes, submit the figure to a third-party grading service like CGC, which will assign a numerical score based on standardized criteria for articulation, paint, and plastic integrity.
