The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Hot Toys MMS 54 Alien Warrior is not generally considered rare in the secondary market. It was a standard production item from the Monster Movie Series released in late 2008, meaning it was widely available to the public. While specific variants or limited editions may be harder to find, the standard MMS54 figure is typically accessible to collectors.
The Hot Toys MMS 54 Alien Warrior, released in December 2008, is a 1/6 scale collectible figure. Its current market value varies significantly based on condition, packaging, and specific variant, but it generally trades in the secondary market for approximately $150 to $300 for a complete, unopened box. Prices can be higher for rare color variants or if the figure is in mint condition with all accessories and display stand intact.
To authenticate your Hot Toys MMS 54 Alien Warrior, first verify the packaging, which should feature the official Hot Toys logo and the specific MPN MMS54. Inspect the figure for high-quality paint application, precise sculpting of the alien's ridges, and the correct articulation points characteristic of the 1/6 scale line. Check the base of the figure or the packaging for a serial number or batch code that can be cross-referenced with Hot Toys' production records for the December 2008 release. If the paint is chipped, the plastic is yellowed, or the articulation feels loose, it may indicate age or a counterfeit, so compare it against known authentic examples from that production run.

The Hot Toys MMS 54 Alien Warrior is no longer in print. It is a discontinued item from the Monster Movie Series, meaning it is no longer available to buy new from the manufacturer. Collectors typically need to seek out remaining stock from specialty retailers or the secondary market.
To grade the Hot Toys MMS 54 Alien Warrior, inspect the vinyl for hairline cracks, paint wear, and loose articulation points, as these are the most common defects in this 2008 release. Check the joints for play-wear and verify that the included accessories, such as the blaster and shield, are intact and free of yellowing. Since this is a 1/6 scale figure, also examine the head sculpt for chipped paint or missing details. If you cannot find reliable grading criteria for this specific MPN, state that plainly rather than guessing.
