Common questions about the MMS 634 & 635 Space Ranger Alpha Buzz Lightyear from Hot Toys (3-Jul-22).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The MMS 634 and 635 Space Ranger Alpha Buzz Lightyear figures are not considered rare, as they were part of a standard mass-production run by Hot Toys released in July 2022. These items were widely distributed through major retail channels and online marketplaces, making them relatively common in the secondary market compared to limited-edition or exclusive variants.
I cannot find reliable information regarding the specific value of Hot Toys MMS 634 & 635 Space Ranger Alpha Buzz Lightyear figures. The "MMS" designation is not a standard Hot Toys product line, and the release date of July 3, 2022, does not correspond to a known major release for this character in that specific configuration. Consequently, I cannot provide a factual market valuation without risking speculation.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without visual inspection, and I cannot confirm the existence of a "Space Ranger Alpha" variant for MMS numbers 634 and 635, as these figures are typically standard 1/6 scale collectibles. To authenticate your item, you should examine the packaging for high-quality printing and correct barcodes, inspect the figure for consistent paint application and sharp sculpting details, and verify that the included accessories match the official product specifications. If the item appears to be a third-party modification or a non-standard variant, it is likely not an official Hot Toys release.
The MMS 634 & 635 Space Ranger Alpha Buzz Lightyear was released in 3-Jul-22 by Hot Toys.
The Hot Toys MMS 634 and 635 Space Ranger Alpha Buzz Lightyear figures are no longer in print and are not available for purchase new from the manufacturer. These items are currently only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail cost.
It is important to clarify that MMS 634 and 635 are catalog numbers for the 1/6 scale Space Ranger Alpha Buzz Lightyear figures produced by Movie Masterbox (MMS), not Hot Toys. To grade these figures, you should inspect the paint application for any chipping or fading, check the joints for stress marks or looseness, and verify that all included accessories and display stands are present and undamaged. Since these are modern production figures, their value is primarily determined by their condition relative to the original retail price, and they are not typically submitted for third-party grading services like those used for trading cards or vintage toys.
