Hot Toys does not use the MMS658 designation for any Spider-Man figure, as their MMS line numbering does not align with this specific code for that character. The MMS658 code is commonly associated with counterfeit figures, often featuring poor sculpting, incorrect paint applications, and non-standard packaging. To authenticate a Hot Toys Spider-Man, verify the specific MMS number against official Hot Toys releases, check for the holographic security seal on the box, and inspect the figure for high-detail sculpting and accurate color matching.
The MMS 658 Spider-Man was released in 21-Jul-22 by Hot Toys.
The MMS 658 Spider-Man is a limited production figure that is no longer in print. It is no longer available for purchase new from Hot Toys, as the initial production run sold out shortly after its release. Collectors typically acquire this figure through the secondary market, where prices often exceed the original retail cost due to its discontinued status.
Inspect the figure for paint applications, particularly on the mask and suit, checking for chipping, overspray, or uneven coloring. Examine the joints for looseness, as Hot Toys figures can develop sagging over time, and verify that all included accessories, such as webbing and hands, are present and undamaged. Check the box for creases, tears, or sun fading, which significantly impact the value for collectors seeking mint-in-box condition.
