To authenticate your Hot Toys MMS 689 Bane, first verify that the MPN MMS689 is printed on the box and that the packaging displays the official Hot Toys logo and copyright information. Inspect the figure for high-quality sculpting, consistent paint application, and the presence of the numbered certificate of authenticity, which is standard for this manufacturer's 1/6th scale products. If the figure lacks these specific details, exhibits poor plastic quality, or the packaging appears unbranded, it is likely a counterfeit, and you should consult the official Hot Toys website for further verification resources.

The Hot Toys MMS 689 Bane figure is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from the manufacturer. As a limited-production collectible released in early 2023, it is typically only found on the secondary market through resellers or auction sites.
Condition-checking a Hot Toys MMS 689 Bane figure involves inspecting the sculpt for paint transfer, scuffs, or stress cracks, particularly on the joints and the large cape. You should verify that all accessories, including weapons and alternate hands, are present and free from damage, and ensure the figure displays properly on its included stand without leaning. Since Hot Toys figures are typically sold in sealed boxes, the condition of the packaging is also a significant factor for collectors, so check for box crushing, shelf wear, or missing inserts.
