No, the MMS 771 Amazing Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) is not considered rare. While specific variants may have limited production runs, the base model does not possess the scarcity associated with exclusive or discontinued items.

The item described with MPN MMS 771B and UPC 4895228619693 is not a genuine Hot Toys product, as Hot Toys does not use the "MMS" prefix for its model numbers and did not release an Andrew Garfield Spider-Man figure in 2024. This listing likely refers to a third-party manufacturer, such as MMS Toys, which produces unlicensed or independent action figures that are distinct from the licensed Hot Toys line. To authenticate the figure, you should verify the manufacturer's branding on the packaging and base, as genuine Hot Toys figures feature specific quality standards, articulation, and licensing marks that are absent in independent reproductions.

I cannot find reliable information confirming that the Hot Toys MMS 771 Amazing Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) is currently in print or available for purchase as a new item. As a 2024 release, it may be subject to limited production runs or regional distribution constraints, so availability is likely fluctuating. I recommend checking the official Hot Toys website or authorized retailers for the most up-to-date stock status.
Condition-checking this figure involves inspecting the paint for scratches, particularly on the webbing and lenses, and verifying that the sculpted details are free from molding defects or flash. You should also examine the articulation points for any looseness or stress fractures and ensure the included accessories and display stand are intact and undamaged. Since this is a 2024 release, the primary grading criteria will focus on the absence of shipping damage and the overall cleanliness of the vinyl and fabric components.
