The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Monkey Assassin Pop! Fantastik Plastik is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released by Funko in 2019, and while it is now discontinued, it was not a limited edition or exclusive variant. Consequently, it remains relatively accessible to collectors on the secondary market compared to true limited-run figures.
The Monkey Assassin Pop! Fantastik Plastik is a limited edition vinyl figure released by Funko in 2019, and its value fluctuates based on market demand and condition. As a niche item from a specific series, it typically commands a premium over standard Pop! figures, with prices often ranging from $50 to over $100 depending on whether it is new in box or loose. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent completed sales on secondary markets like eBay is recommended.
It is not possible to definitively authenticate a specific Funko Pop! item as "real" without a physical examination of the product, as counterfeit items are common in the secondary market. To verify authenticity, you should inspect the packaging for high-quality printing, a scannable barcode, and the official Funko logo, while checking the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a solid, non-hollow base. Be aware that the specific SKU 19 for a 2019 Monkey Assassin Fantastik Plastik is unusual, as Monkey Assassin figures are typically associated with the *Mortal Kombat* line and have different numbering, so you should cross-reference the exact product name and year against official Funko release lists to ensure the item description matches a known production run.
The Monkey Assassin Pop! Fantastik Plastik was released in 2019 by Funko.
The Monkey Assassin Pop! Fantastik Plastik is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2019 release, it is considered a discontinued item, meaning new stock is no longer produced or sold by the manufacturer.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, and scratches, while also verifying that the head is properly aligned and not loose. For a formal grade, you must submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the item's preservation and place it in a tamper-evident slab. Be aware that grading fees and turnaround times vary by service, and the process is irreversible once the item is sealed.
