To authenticate your 2020 Mos Eisley Cantina (set 75290), verify that the set number is printed on the box and that the minifigures and parts match the official LEGO inventory for that specific release. Check the mold quality of the plastic pieces, as genuine LEGO bricks have crisp, uniform surfaces and consistent color saturation, whereas counterfeits often exhibit rough edges, uneven printing, or off-brand colors. The LEGO Mos Eisley Cantina (set 75290) is no longer in print. It was officially retired by the LEGO Group in 2022, meaning it is no longer sold new through official LEGO channels. While you may occasionally find unopened sets remaining in the inventory of third-party retailers, the primary source for acquiring this set is now the secondary market.
Condition-checking a LEGO set like the Mos Eisley Cantina (75290) primarily involves inspecting the packaging for signs of wear, such as box damage, shelf wear, or tape residue, if it is unopened. For opened sets, you should verify that all minifigures and pieces are present, check for any missing or damaged elements, and ensure the instruction manual is intact. Unlike trading cards, LEGO sets do not have a standardized third-party grading scale, so value is determined by the completeness of the set and the condition of the box.
