The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Mouth Open Chupacabra Pop! is not considered rare. It was a standard retail release produced in large quantities for the 2018 Fantastic Beasts line, making it a common item that is widely available on the secondary market.
There is no reliable market data available for a "Mouth Open" Chupacabra Pop! from the Fantastic Beasts line, as this specific variant does not appear to be a standard production release from Funko in 2018. The standard Chupacabra figure from that era typically features a closed mouth, and rare "mouth open" variants are usually associated with other franchises like Stranger Things. Consequently, it is not possible to provide a specific valuation for this item without verifying its authenticity, as it may be a misidentified standard figure or a non-standard custom piece.
To authenticate your Funko Pop, verify that the box is sealed with the correct 2018 Fantastic Beasts branding and that the figure itself has the correct paint application and proportions for SKU 21. Check the base of the figure for a molded copyright symbol and the number 21, as genuine Funko Pops from this era typically feature these markings. If the packaging is missing, you can compare the figure’s details against high-resolution images of verified authentic examples online, though the absence of the box makes definitive authentication more difficult.
The Mouth Open Chupacabra Pop! Fantastic Beasts was released in 2018 by Funko.
The Mouth Open Chupacabra Pop! from the Fantastic Beasts line is no longer in print. As a 2018 release, it has been discontinued by Funko and is no longer available for purchase new from the manufacturer or major retail partners. Collectors seeking this figure must look for used copies on the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint transfers, mold lines, or "pop eyes" where the vinyl eyes are not properly seated. For this specific 2018 release, you should also verify that the mouth is fully open and that the teeth are intact without chipping, as the open-mouth design makes the interior more susceptible to damage. While third-party grading services like PSA can assign a numerical grade, most collectors simply assess the item's condition visually by comparing it to known flaws for this SKU.
