Common questions about the Mr. Hankey Pop! South Park from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Mr. Hankey Pop! from South Park is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure that was part of a widely released wave of South Park characters, making it relatively common in the secondary market. While specific color variants or limited editions may be harder to find, the standard SKU 21 figure is generally accessible to collectors.
There is no single fixed market value for the Mr. Hankey Pop! South Park, as prices fluctuate based on condition, packaging integrity, and current collector demand. As a standard retail Funko Pop!, its original MSRP was typically around $12 to $15, and it generally trades within that range or slightly higher for sealed, mint-condition figures. To determine its precise current worth, you should check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or specialized collectibles marketplaces.
To authenticate your Mr. Hankey Pop!, verify that the box features the official Funko logo, a holographic security sticker, and a barcode matching SKU 21. The figure itself should have a matte finish with clean, sharp edges and consistent paint application, while the base should be solid and free of excessive flash or rough seams. If the packaging lacks these specific security features or the figure exhibits poor quality control, it is likely a counterfeit.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for the Mr. Hankey Pop! South Park figure with SKU 21. While Funko releases figures in waves throughout the year, exact dates for individual SKUs are not consistently documented in public records, so I cannot provide a verified answer without speculating.
The Mr. Hankey Pop! from South Park is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a discontinued item, it can only be found on the secondary market through resellers, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! primarily involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, and verifying that the head is properly seated on the body without gaps. You should also examine the box for any damage, such as crushed corners or scuffs, as the packaging is a significant factor in the item's value. While professional grading services like PSA can provide a standardized condition score, most collectors perform a visual inspection under good lighting to assess the figure's overall state.
