The MTV Moon Person Pop! Icons figure is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released by Funko in 2019 and was widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces. Because it was part of a large print run, it remains common in the secondary market.
The value of the 2019 MTV Moon Person Pop! Icons (SKU 18) fluctuates based on condition and market demand, but it typically sells for between $10 and $20 in retail stores. On secondary markets like eBay, prices for new, sealed figures generally range from $15 to $30, while used copies often sell for less.
You can authenticate your MTV Moon Person Pop! Icons by verifying that the box is sealed with a holographic sticker and that the figure itself has the "Funko" logo embossed on the bottom of its base. Check for consistent paint application, sharp molding, and the correct SKU number (18) on the packaging to ensure it matches the 2019 release. If the figure lacks these specific manufacturing details or the box shows signs of tampering, it may be a counterfeit.
The MTV Moon Person Pop! Icons was released in 2019 by Funko.
The MTV Moon Person Pop! Icons figure is no longer in print and is not available for purchase directly from Funko. As a 2019 release, it is considered a discontinued item, meaning new stock is only available through third-party resellers or the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, and verifying that the head is properly seated on the body without gaps. You should also examine the acrylic display base for cracks or cloudiness and check the original box for any damage, as the packaging significantly impacts the item's value. While professional grading services like PSA can assign a numerical grade, most collectors assess these items informally by comparing them to known "mint" examples and noting any visible flaws under good lighting.
