Common questions about the Nelson Cruz Pop! MLB from Funko (2018).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Nelson Cruz Pop! MLB figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released by Funko in 2018. Like most mainstream MLB Pop! figures from that era, it was widely available through major retailers and has a large production volume. Consequently, it is generally easy to find in new or used condition at standard market prices.
The Nelson Cruz Pop! MLB figure from 2018 is a common collectible that typically sells for between $5 and $15 in new, sealed condition. Because it is a standard production item without special features, its value is largely determined by current retail availability and minor variations in packaging condition. Prices can fluctuate slightly based on the player's current popularity, but it does not command a premium price in the secondary market.
To authenticate your 2018 Nelson Cruz Pop! MLB figure, first verify that the packaging is intact and features the correct Funko branding, the MLB license logo, and the specific character name and number (21) on the front. Examine the vinyl figure itself for consistent paint application, proper proportions, and the distinct molded texture characteristic of genuine Funko products, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy detailing or off-color plastics. While there is no universal serial number database for individual figures, checking for the "Funko" logo on the bottom of the figure and ensuring the box matches the official 2018 release design are the most reliable methods for confirming authenticity.
The Nelson Cruz Pop! MLB was released in 2018 by Funko.
Nelson Cruz Pop! MLB figures from the 2018 release are no longer in print. Because Funko has discontinued this specific vintage MLB line, new stock is no longer available directly from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking a new, unopened figure must rely on the secondary market, where availability and pricing fluctuate based on condition.
Funko Pop! figures are not officially graded by major third-party authentication services like PSA, so there is no standardized numerical grading scale for them. To condition-check a Nelson Cruz Pop! MLB figure, you should visually inspect the vinyl for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or scratches, and verify that the head articulates smoothly without excessive wobble. Additionally, check the packaging for any damage, as the box condition significantly impacts the item's value for collectors.
