The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Newt Scamander (Postcard) Pop! is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the 2019 Fantastic Beasts line, and its value is generally comparable to other common characters from that series. While postcard variants can sometimes command a slight premium over standard figures due to their unique packaging, they remain widely available on the secondary market.
There is no reliable market data available for a specific "Newt Scamander (Postcard)" Funko Pop! SKU 27 from 2019, as this description does not correspond to a standard, widely recognized retail release. Funko Pop! figures are typically valued based on their specific character, series, and condition, but without a verifiable product matching this exact name and SKU, it is not possible to provide an accurate valuation.
You can authenticate this item by checking the packaging for the official Funko logo, a barcode, and a copyright notice that typically reads "©2019 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc." The vinyl figure itself should have a smooth, consistent finish with sharp details, and the postcard insert should be printed on high-quality cardstock with clear imagery. Be wary of items with blurry printing, uneven seams, or missing packaging elements, as these are common indicators of counterfeits.
The Newt Scamander (Postcard) Pop! Fantastic Beasts was released in 2019 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Newt Scamander (Postcard) Pop! from the Fantastic Beasts series, meaning it is no longer in print. While it is not available to buy new directly from Funko, unopened units may occasionally appear on the secondary market through third-party resellers.
Funko Pop! figures, including the Newt Scamander Postcard edition, are not officially graded by major third-party authentication services like PSA or Beckett, so there is no standardized numerical grading scale for these items. To assess the condition, you should manually inspect the vinyl for common defects such as seam lines, paint overspray, or mold imperfections, and check the packaging for any signs of wear, creasing, or damage. If you are looking for a verified valuation, the most reliable method is to consult recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay to determine the current market value based on the specific condition of the item.
