Common questions about the NYCC Rico Pop! Movies from Funko (2015).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The NYCC Rico Pop! Movies figure is considered rare because it was a limited-edition exclusive sold only at New York Comic Con in 2015. As a convention-exclusive item with a finite production run, it is significantly harder to find in new condition compared to standard retail releases.
There is no reliable market data available to determine the specific value of a 2015 NYCC exclusive Rico Pop! Figure. As a convention exclusive item, its price fluctuates significantly based on condition, packaging integrity, and current collector demand, making a fixed valuation impossible without a live market appraisal.
I cannot determine the authenticity of a specific item without physically inspecting it, as counterfeit Funko Pops are common and often mimic original packaging and paint quality. To authenticate your figure, check the box for a clear, undamaged holographic sticker and verify that the plastic has the correct weight and texture, as fakes often use lighter, shinier, or more brittle materials. Additionally, examine the paint application for smudges or bleeding, which are frequent indicators of unauthorized reproduction.
The NYCC Rico Pop! Movies was released in 2015 by Funko.
The NYCC Rico Pop! Movies (SKU 172) is a New York Comic Con exclusive from 2015 and is no longer in print. It is not available for purchase new from Funko or major retailers, meaning it can only be found on the secondary market.
To condition-check a Funko Pop!, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, and dust accumulation, paying close attention to the seams and recessed areas where dirt often collects. Verify that the head is properly seated on the body and that the eyes are aligned, as misalignment is a common defect. Since the NYCC 2015 Rico figure is a convention-exclusive item, also check the base for any stickers, scuffs, or damage that might indicate it was displayed or handled roughly.
