Common questions about the Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Knight from Sideshow Collectibles.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
Sideshow Collectibles does not publish official production numbers for this specific SKU, so its exact rarity is difficult to quantify. As a standard 1/4 scale statue from a major manufacturer, it is generally considered a common to moderate collectible rather than a limited-edition piece. Its current market value and availability on the secondary market are the most reliable indicators of its relative scarcity.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Knight (SKU 922379) is a 1/6th scale figure from Sideshow Collectibles, and its value depends heavily on condition and whether it is in the box. As a relatively recent release, it typically trades in the secondary market for roughly $100 to $150 if unopened, while opened figures in good condition generally sell for $60 to $90. Prices fluctuate based on demand and the specific condition of the paint and joints, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or the Sideshow marketplace will give you the most accurate current market value.
To authenticate your Sideshow Collectibles Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Knight (SKU 922379), first verify the packaging integrity, including the sealed shrink wrap and the presence of the Sideshow Collectibles logo and product label on the box. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct articulation points, as Sideshow figures typically feature high-quality materials and precise molding. You can cross-reference the SKU 922379 against Sideshow’s official product database or authorized retailer listings to confirm the item’s existence and expected features. If the figure lacks a certificate of authenticity or shows signs of tampering, such as broken seals or mismatched parts, it may be a reproduction or damaged item.
Sideshow Collectibles released the 1/4 scale Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Knight statue in 2016. This figure was part of their Star Wars: The Clone Wars line and was available through Sideshow's direct-to-consumer store and select retail partners.
Sideshow Collectibles has discontinued the Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Knight figure, meaning it is no longer in production. While it is no longer available to buy new directly from the manufacturer, you can still find new, unopened units through third-party retailers or the secondary market.
To condition-check the Sideshow Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Knight, first inspect the sculpt for stress fractures, particularly around the joints and the lightsaber hilt, as these are common failure points. Examine the paint for chipping or fading, paying close attention to the blue tunic and the metallic accents on the armor. Check the base and stand for scuffs or loose screws, and verify that the included accessories, such as the lightsaber and any display stand components, are intact and free of cracks. If the figure is in its original packaging, inspect the box for dents, creases, or tape residue, as box condition significantly impacts resale value.
