Common questions about the Olaf as Ariel Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Olaf as Ariel Pop! Disney (SKU 1177) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard retail release for the Disney Princess line. These figures were widely distributed in major toy and collectible stores, making them relatively easy to find in both new and used condition. While specific variants like Chase or exclusive editions may be harder to locate, the standard production version is a common item in the Funko market.
The Olaf as Ariel Pop! Disney (SKU 1177) is a standard retail release that typically sells for around $10 to $15 in new condition on the secondary market. Because it is a common item with high production numbers, it does not command a premium price and is generally worth less than its original retail cost.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Olaf as Ariel (SKU 1177), first verify that the box is sealed with a tamper-evident sticker and that the figure is securely attached to the backing card. Inspect the vinyl for a smooth, consistent finish without visible mold lines, air bubbles, or paint bleed, and ensure the eyes are properly aligned and glossy. You can also cross-reference the SKU and copyright date on the bottom of the box against official Funko listings to confirm it matches the standard production run.
Funko does not publish specific release dates for individual Pop! figures in their official documentation, so a precise launch date for the Olaf as Ariel figure (SKU 1177) is not reliably available. This item is part of the "Frozen 2" collection, which was generally released in 2019 to coincide with the film's theatrical release, but the exact day this specific variant hit the market is not confirmed by the manufacturer.
Funko has discontinued the Olaf as Ariel Pop! Disney figure, so it is no longer in print or available to buy new from official retail channels. This item is now considered out of print, meaning new stock is no longer produced, and collectors typically must seek out used copies on the secondary market.
Grading a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, and facial expression issues, as well as verifying that the box is undamaged and unopened if you are assessing its retail value. While third-party grading services like PSA can provide a standardized score, most collectors simply evaluate the figure’s condition on a scale from Mint to Poor based on visible flaws. There is no specific, unique grading protocol for the Olaf as Ariel variant beyond these standard Funko Pop! inspection criteria.
