Common questions about the Olaf as Genie Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Olaf as Genie Pop! Disney (SKU 1178) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released in 2019. While specific variants like chases or limited editions may be harder to find, the standard figure remains widely available in the secondary market.
The Olaf as Genie Pop! Disney (SKU 1178) is a standard retail release with a typical MSRP of $12.99, meaning its value is generally pegged to that price point for new, in-box items. Because it is not a limited edition or exclusive variant, it does not command a significant premium on the secondary market. You can expect to find new copies for around retail price or slightly less, while used copies will sell for considerably less.
Funko Pop! figures do not have unique serial numbers, so authenticity is determined by inspecting the packaging and the figure itself for quality markers. Look for a crisp, undamaged box with the correct SKU (1178) and a barcode that matches the official Funko listing, as well as a figure with clean paint, no gaps in the seams, and the correct Funko logo on the base. If the box appears worn, the plastic feels brittle, or the paint is uneven, the item is likely a counterfeit, and you can verify details by comparing your item to high-resolution photos on Funko's official website.
The Olaf as Genie Pop! Disney vinyl figure was released in 2023. It is part of the Disney Villains collection and is available in the standard 3.75-inch size.
Funko does not publish a public list of discontinued items, so there is no definitive confirmation that the Olaf as Genie Pop! Disney (SKU 1178) is permanently out of print. However, this specific figure is frequently sold out on major retail platforms and is often only available through third-party resellers at a premium, suggesting it is currently difficult to find new from official sources.
To condition-check a Funko Pop!, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, paying close attention to high-contact areas like Olaf's nose and the edges of the genie lamp. Verify that the figure is securely seated in the base without excessive wobble and that the acrylic window is free of cracks, scratches, or cloudiness. If the item is sealed, check the box for any dents, creases, or damage to the corners, as these factors significantly impact the collectible's market value.
