Sideshow Collectibles did not produce a standalone OOM-9 Battle Droid Commander figure in 2012; that year saw the release of the 1/6th scale Battle Droid Commander, which is a distinct character model. If your item is labeled as an OOM-9, it is likely a misidentified standard Battle Droid or a third-party reproduction, as the OOM-9 is typically a smaller, non-articulated accessory figure in Sideshow's lineup. To authenticate the item, check the packaging for Sideshow's official logo and product code, verify the sculpt details against known 2012 Battle Droid Commander releases, and inspect the paint quality and articulation points, which are often inferior in counterfeit products.

The OOM-9 Battle Droid Commander by Sideshow Collectibles is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from the manufacturer. As a 2012 release, it is considered a discontinued item, and availability is limited to the secondary market through third-party retailers or private collectors.
To condition-check the Sideshow OOM-9 Battle Droid Commander, inspect the head and body for paint chips, particularly on the antenna and armor plates, as these are common points of wear. Verify that the joints move smoothly without excessive play and that the included accessories, such as the blaster and stand, are intact and free from stress cracks. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service like Beckett Grading Services, which will assign a numerical score based on overall condition, paint, and structural integrity.
