No, the Optimus Prime Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1372) is not considered rare. It is a standard mass-production item released by Funko in 2023 as part of their regular movie line, meaning it was widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces. While specific variants like chases or exclusives may be harder to find, the standard edition remains a common collectible.
The retail value of the 2023 Optimus Prime Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1372) is typically around $12.99, though prices fluctuate based on retailer promotions and local availability. As a standard mass-produced vinyl collectible, it does not hold significant investment value, and its secondary market price generally remains close to or slightly below its original retail cost.
To authenticate a 2023 Optimus Prime Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1372), verify that the box features the standard Funko branding, the specific SKU number, and a valid UPC barcode. Inspect the figure for high-quality paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a solid, non-porous vinyl finish, as counterfeits often exhibit blurry printing, rough seams, or a hollow, lightweight feel. Additionally, check the bottom of the figure for a molded copyright symbol and the year of manufacture, which should align with the 2023 release date.

There is no official grading service for Funko Pop! vinyl figures, so you cannot obtain a professional certification for this item. To assess its condition, you should inspect the figure for common defects such as paint transfer, mold lines, or scratches, and verify that the head is properly aligned within the display window. The primary value determinant for this SKU is whether the item is sealed in its original box with an intact window, as unboxed figures are significantly less valuable to collectors.
