No, the Optimus Prime Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1372) is not considered rare. To authenticate your 2023 Optimus Prime Pop! Movies (SKU 1372), first verify that the figure is made of vinyl with a glossy finish and that the box features the standard Funko branding and a holographic security sticker. Check that the paint application is clean without significant bleeding, and ensure the figure's proportions match the official 2023 release, which typically depicts Optimus Prime in his classic red and blue color scheme. If the item lacks a security sticker, has a matte finish, or displays poor paint quality, it is likely a counterfeit, and you should compare it directly against high-resolution images from Funko's official website or reputable retailers.

Funko has not officially announced that the Optimus Prime Pop! Movies (SKU 1372) is discontinued, so it remains technically in print. You should inspect the figure under bright, direct light to check for common defects such as paint errors, seam lines, or mold flaws on the plastic body. Verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of scratches, and ensure the vinyl is not yellowed, which can indicate age or poor storage. For a formal grade, you must submit the figure to a third-party authentication service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on its condition and place it in a tamper-evident slab.
