No, the Patrick Star Pop! Movies (SKU 917) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the SpongeBob SquarePants movie line that was widely distributed through major retail channels in 2020. While specific color variants or special editions may be harder to find, the base figure remains common in the secondary market.
The value of a Patrick Star Pop! Movies figure (SKU 917) varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sold in the box. As a common item from a popular franchise, an unopened box typically sells for between $10 and $20, while an opened figure usually fetches less than $10. Prices can fluctuate based on current market demand and the specific platform where it is listed.
To authenticate your Patrick Star Pop! Movies (SKU 917), first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and a holographic security sticker, which are standard for 2020 releases. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct "Pop! Movies" branding on the base. If the packaging appears damaged, lacks security features, or the figure feels lightweight with poor paint quality, it may be a counterfeit. For definitive confirmation, you can compare your item against verified images from Funko's official website or consult a certified authentication service.

The Patrick Star Pop! Movies figure (SKU 917) is currently out of print and no longer available for purchase new from Funko or major retail partners. To condition-check a Patrick Star Pop! Movies (SKU 917), inspect the vinyl figure for any scuffs, scratches, or paint chips, paying close attention to the face, hands, and feet where wear is most common. Verify that the head is properly aligned with the body and that the eyes are intact, as misalignment or missing parts significantly impacts value. While third-party grading services like PSA can provide a standardized condition score, most collectors perform a visual inspection under bright light to assess the item's overall quality before purchase.
