The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Peeta Mellark Pop! Movies figure (SKU 228) is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released by Funko in 2015 to coincide with the *Mockingjay* film, and it was widely available through major retail channels. While specific variants like the "Chase" edition are harder to find, the standard version is a common collectible with a large production run.
The value of a 2015 Peeta Mellark Funko Pop! (SKU 228) varies significantly based on condition, with sealed figures typically selling for between $10 and $25 while loose figures often range from $5 to $15. As a common release from the *Mockingjay* era, it is not considered a rare collectible, so prices generally remain modest unless the figure is part of a complete set or has unique packaging features.
To authenticate your Peeta Mellark Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the packaging displays the correct SKU number 228 and the 2015 release year, as these details align with the official catalog for that character. Examine the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper proportions, and the distinct Funko logo on the base, noting that genuine items typically feature a smooth vinyl finish without visible mold lines or excess plastic. If the packaging appears damaged, lacks a barcode, or the figure feels unusually light compared to standard 3.75-inch Pop! vinyls, it may be a counterfeit, so comparing it side-by-side with a verified authentic example is the most reliable method for confirmation.

The Peeta Mellark Pop! Movies figure (SKU 228) is currently out of print and no longer produced by Funko. Because it is a discontinued item, it is generally unavailable to buy new directly from the manufacturer or major retail partners. To condition-check a Peeta Mellark Pop! Movies figure, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint transfer, paying close attention to the face, hair, and clothing details. Verify that the eyes are intact and properly aligned, and check the base for any cracks, chips, or discoloration that might indicate structural damage. If the figure is in its original box, also examine the packaging for shelf wear, box bow, or missing inserts, as these factors significantly impact the item's collectible value.
