Common questions about the Pekka Rinne Pop! Hockey from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
Pekka Rinne Pop! Hockey (SKU 39) is not considered rare in the collectibles market. It was part of the original 2015 NHL Hockey series, which was widely distributed through major retailers like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy, making it a common release. While its value has declined due to the large initial production run, it remains an accessible entry point for hockey collectors.
The value of the Pekka Rinne Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 39) depends heavily on its condition and whether it is in the box. As a standard retail release, an unopened box typically sells for around $10 to $15, while a loose figure in good condition usually goes for $5 to $8. Prices can fluctuate based on local market demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or StockX is the most reliable way to determine current market value.
To authenticate your Pekka Rinne Pop! Hockey figure, first check the box for the official Funko logo, barcode, and the specific SKU number 39. Inspect the vinyl for consistent molding, correct paint application, and the embossed Funko logo on the base. If the figure feels lightweight, has rough edges, or the packaging lacks standard security features like the holographic sticker, it may be a counterfeit. For definitive verification, compare your item against high-resolution images of the official product and consult Funko’s customer service or a trusted third-party authentication service if discrepancies remain.
The specific release date for the Pekka Rinne Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 39) is not widely documented in public Funko release calendars. While the figure is part of the NHL Hockey series, the exact month and year of its initial release is not reliably confirmed in standard collector references.
The Funko Pop! Hockey #39 Pekka Rinne figure is currently out of print. It is no longer produced by Funko and is typically available only through the secondary market, such as eBay or collector-to-collector sales.
To condition-check a Funko Pop! figure, first inspect the vinyl surface for cracks, chips, or paint defects, paying close attention to the face, hands, and the hockey stick. Check the base for scuffs or discoloration, and ensure the figure stands level without wobbling. For formal grading, submit the figure to a third-party service like PSA or Beckett, which will assign a numerical grade based on a 10-point scale reflecting the absence of visible defects under magnification.
