Common questions about the Pele & Barker Parrot Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Pele & Barker Parrot Pop! is not considered a rare item, as it was part of the standard Disney+ collection released by Funko. These figures were widely distributed through major retailers and online marketplaces, making them relatively common in the secondary market compared to limited edition or exclusive variants.
The value of a Pele & Barker Parrot Pop! Disney figure depends heavily on its condition and whether it is sealed in the box, with unopened copies typically trading between $10 and $25. Because this is a standard retail release rather than a limited edition, it does not command a premium price in the secondary market. Prices can fluctuate based on local demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current market value.
To authenticate a Funko Pop! figure, first examine the packaging for a holographic sticker and a unique QR code that can be scanned via the Funko app to verify the product's authenticity. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a solid, non-wobbly base, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy molding or faded colors. If the figure was purchased from an authorized retailer like the Funko Store, Amazon, or major toy chains, it is highly likely to be genuine, whereas items from unofficial third-party marketplaces carry a higher risk of being counterfeits.
The specific release date for the Pele & Barker Parrot Pop! Disney figure is not widely documented in public records. While Funko typically announces release dates for new Disney figures through their official website and retailer listings, this particular item does not have a confirmed, easily verifiable launch date in standard collectible databases.
Funko has discontinued the Pele & Barker Parrot Pop! Disney figure, meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. While the item is no longer produced, it may occasionally appear in the secondary market through third-party resellers, though availability is typically limited and prices often exceed the original retail value.
You can assess the condition of a Pele & Barker Parrot Pop! by examining the vinyl for cracks, chips, or paint wear, paying close attention to the parrot's beak and feathers as well as the character's facial features. Check the base for scuffs and ensure the head articulation moves smoothly without excessive play. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on these factors, though this is optional for casual collectors.
