No, the Peter Pan Pop! Disney (SKU 279) is not considered rare. It was a standard mass-production release from Funko's 2017 Disney collection, meaning it was widely distributed and is generally easy to find in retail stores or online marketplaces.
The retail value of the 2017 Peter Pan Pop! (SKU 279) was typically around $10 to $12 when new. As a standard, non-exclusive release from a popular character, its current market value for a sealed, mint-condition figure generally ranges from $5 to $10, with prices fluctuating based on local availability and demand.
To authenticate your Peter Pan Pop! (SKU 279), first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko logo and that the figure itself has the correct paint application and proportions for the 2017 release. Check the base of the figure for a molded copyright symbol and the specific SKU number, which should match the 279 designation. Be aware that high-quality counterfeits often exist for popular Disney characters, so if the plastic feels unusually light, the paint is smudged, or the box lacks proper printing quality, the item is likely fake.

The Peter Pan Pop! Disney (SKU 279) is considered out of print and is no longer produced by Funko. While it is not available to buy new from official retail channels, copies can occasionally be found on the secondary market through third-party sellers.
To condition-check a Peter Pan Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl surface for any cracks, chips, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the character's facial features and the edges of the hat and tunic. Verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of scratches, and ensure the figure stands level without significant warping. Check the packaging for any tears, creases, or damage to the window, as this significantly impacts the value for collectors seeking mint-in-box items.
