No, the Pinocchio (with Jiminy Cricket) Pop! Disney is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s main Disney line, meaning it was widely distributed and is generally easy to find in retail stores and online marketplaces. While specific variants like chases or exclusive releases may be harder to obtain, the standard SKU 617 figure remains a common collectible.
The value of a Pinocchio (with Jiminy Cricket) Funko Pop! (SKU 617) varies significantly based on condition, with unopened retail copies typically trading between $15 and $25. Prices for opened figures are generally lower, often ranging from $5 to $10, while rare variants or special editions may command higher premiums. Because collectible market values fluctuate, checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current market price.
To authenticate your Funko Pinocchio (with Jiminy Cricket) Pop! (SKU 617), first verify that the box is sealed with a holographic sticker and that the figure itself has a matte finish with consistent paint application. Check the bottom of the figure for a molded "Funko" logo and ensure the eyes are properly aligned and not painted on. If the figure feels unusually light, has sharp edges, or displays blurry printing, it is likely a counterfeit.
Funko does not publicly disclose specific release dates for individual Pop! Vinyl figures in their official documentation. While the Pinocchio (with Jiminy Cricket) figure (SKU 617) is part of the Disney line, precise launch timing for this specific item is not reliably available in public records.
Funko has discontinued the Pinocchio (with Jiminy Cricket) Pop! Disney figure, SKU 617, and it is no longer in print. Consequently, the item is not available to buy new from Funko's official channels or major retail partners. Collectors seeking this specific figure must look to the secondary market, where availability and pricing are subject to fluctuation.
To condition-check this figure, inspect the vinyl surface for any cracks, hairline fractures, or stress marks, paying close attention to the joints and the thin antennae on Jiminy Cricket. Verify that the paint application is intact, particularly on the small details like the eyes, mouths, and clothing patterns, and ensure the figure stands level without leaning. Check the packaging for any signs of tampering, such as lifted seals or creases, if you are evaluating a sealed product.
