Common questions about the Pocahontas (Gold) Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Pocahontas (Gold) Pop! is considered a rare variant because it is a limited-edition gold vinyl figure, typically produced in smaller quantities than standard releases. These gold variants are often sold exclusively through specific retailers or as part of special promotional sets, which contributes to their scarcity in the secondary market.
The value of a Funko Pop! Pocahontas (Gold) varies significantly based on condition, whether it is sealed in its box, and current market demand. As a standard gold variant, it typically sells for a modest premium over the regular edition, often ranging from $15 to $30 for loose figures and $25 to $45 for sealed boxes, though prices fluctuate. For the most accurate and current valuation, check recent completed sales on eBay or specialized collectibles marketplaces.
To authenticate your Funko Pocahontas (Gold) Pop! (SKU 1077), first verify that the figure is made of vinyl and that the gold paint is applied as a metallic finish rather than being a solid gold material, which is standard for this product line. Check the packaging for the correct Funko logo, a scannable barcode, and the specific SKU number 1077 printed on the box. You can also compare the figure's proportions, paint application, and eye details against official Funko product images to ensure it matches the manufacturer's specifications. If the item lacks proper packaging or exhibits poor paint quality, it may be a counterfeit, in which case you should consult a professional authentication service for a definitive assessment.
Funko does not publicly disclose specific release dates for individual Pop! Vinyl figures, so the exact release date for the Pocahontas (Gold) Pop! (SKU 1077) is not reliably documented. While this item is part of the Disney Princess Gold series, which generally launched in 2018, the precise month and year for this specific SKU cannot be confirmed without speculation.
Funko has discontinued the Pocahontas (Gold) Pop! Disney, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new directly from the manufacturer. This item is now considered out of print, meaning availability is limited to the secondary market through third-party sellers, where prices and condition vary significantly.
To condition-check a Funko Pop! figure, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, paying close attention to high-wear areas like the head, hands, and base. Verify that the figure is securely attached to the base and that the paint on the gold finish is intact without fading or scuffing. While there is no official grading service for standard retail Funko Pops, you can assess its value by comparing its condition to known "mint" examples and checking for any missing accessories or packaging damage.
