No, the Pochacco Pop! Sanrio (SKU 1021) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from Funko's Sanrio line released in 2022, meaning it was widely distributed and is generally easy to find in new or used condition. While specific variants like chase figures or exclusive releases may be harder to obtain, the standard version is a common collectible.
The value of a Pochacco Pop! Sanrio (SKU 1021) depends heavily on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a common release from 2022, the loose figure typically sells for between $5 and $10, while a sealed box generally commands a price of $10 to $15. Prices may fluctuate slightly based on current market demand and local availability.
To authenticate your Pochacco Pop! Sanrio, first verify that the packaging displays the official Funko logo and the Sanrio license mark, as unlicensed items often lack these specific branding elements. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a solid base, noting that counterfeit versions frequently feature blurry printing or uneven seams. You can also cross-reference the SKU 1021 and the 2022 release date against official Funko release lists to confirm the item's legitimacy. If the box is missing or the figure exhibits significant manufacturing flaws, consider having it appraised by a reputable collectibles dealer for a definitive assessment.
The Pochacco Pop! Sanrio was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Pochacco Pop! Sanrio (SKU 1021), so it remains technically in print. However, availability for this specific 2022 release is often inconsistent, with the item frequently selling out on major retail platforms and requiring purchase from third-party resellers at a premium.
Condition-checking a Pochacco Pop! Sanrio involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface imperfections such as mold lines, paint overspray, or scratches, and verifying that the head is properly seated within the box. You should also examine the packaging for any dents, creases, or damage to the window, as these factors significantly impact the item's value. While professional grading services like PSA can assign a numerical grade, most collectors assess these items based on visual inspection of the figure and box integrity.
