The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Pompompurin with Dessert Pop! Sanrio figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s Sanrio line, and like most non-exclusive Pop! figures, it is widely available through major retailers and secondary markets.
The Pompompurin with Dessert Pop! Sanrio Pop! Vinyl figure (SKU 94) typically retails for approximately $12.00 USD. As a standard mass-market release, its secondary market value generally remains near or slightly below the original retail price, depending on local demand and condition.
Authenticating a Funko Pop! requires checking for specific quality markers, such as the official Funko logo on the base, a clear and legible SKU number (94 in this case), and a barcode that matches the manufacturer's records. You should also inspect the paint application for consistent color and absence of smudging, and verify that the plastic has a smooth finish without visible mold lines or rough edges. If the item lacks these details or the packaging appears altered, it is likely a counterfeit, and you can compare it against verified images from Funko's official website or reputable collector databases to confirm discrepancies.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for the Pompompurin with Dessert Pop! Sanrio Pop! figure (SKU 94). While Funko releases Sanrio figures in various waves throughout the year, the exact month and year for this specific variant is not definitively documented in standard public release schedules.
I cannot find reliable information confirming that the Pompompurin with Dessert Pop! Sanrio (SKU 94) is currently in print or available to buy new from Funko. As a result, its availability is likely limited to the secondary market, where prices and stock fluctuate based on collector demand.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or chipped details, and verifying that the eyes are properly aligned and free of bubbles. You should also examine the box for any dents, tears, or scuffs, as the packaging is a significant factor in the item's value. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on a standardized scale.
