Common questions about the Protagonist Pop! Games from Funko (2019).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Protagonist Pop! Games figure (SKU 522) is not considered rare. It was a standard mass-production release from 2019, and while its value may fluctuate based on condition and market demand, it is not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The value of a 2019 Funko Pop! Games Protagonist (SKU 522) fluctuates based on condition and market demand, but it typically sells for between $15 and $25 in retail stores. On secondary markets like eBay, prices for new, sealed figures generally range from $20 to $35, while open figures usually fetch less. As a common release from a popular game, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price.
There is no widely recognized Funko Pop! Games SKU 522 released in 2019 that corresponds to a character named "Protagonist," as this title is typically associated with the *Persona* series, which Funko has not officially produced in that specific numbering sequence for that year. Because the item description does not match known Funko catalog records, it is likely a misidentified product, a third-party reproduction, or a listing error. To authenticate any Funko figure, you should verify the SKU against the official Funko website and inspect the packaging for the correct logo, copyright dates, and the "Funko" seal of authenticity on the box.
The Protagonist Pop! Games was released in 2019 by Funko.
The Protagonist Pop! Games (SKU 522) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2019 release, it is considered a discontinued item, meaning new stock is no longer produced or sold by the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this figure must look for used copies on the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, and verifying that the head fits securely on the body without excessive wobble. For the Protagonist from The Last of Us (SKU 522), pay close attention to the details of the jacket and weapon, as these are common areas for production flaws. If you intend to have it professionally graded by services like PSA or CGC, the item must be in its original, unopened box with the window intact, as these companies generally do not grade loose figures.
