To authenticate your 2020 Funko Pop! #28 Pusheen w/ Cupcake, first verify the box seal is intact and check that the SKU on the box matches the number 28. Examine the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp edges, and the correct Pusheen character design, ensuring the cupcake accessory is securely attached and proportionate. Compare the figure against official Funko product images, paying close attention to the specific pose and color accuracy, as counterfeit figures often exhibit blurry printing or misaligned parts. If the box is damaged or missing, the figure itself should still display the standard Funko Pop! base and consistent manufacturing quality typical of the 2020 production run.
The Pusheen w/ Cupcake Pop! Pusheen was released in 2020 by Funko.
The 2020 Pusheen w/ Cupcake Pop! is generally considered out of print, as Funko typically discontinues specific character variants after a limited production run. While new-in-box units may occasionally surface on the secondary market, they are no longer sold directly through standard retail channels.
To condition-check this item, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, hairline cracks, or paint wear, paying close attention to the cupcake accessory and the character's facial features. Verify that the base is clean and free of scuffs, and ensure the packaging is intact if you are evaluating the set as new in box. Since this is a standard mass-produced vinyl figure, grading typically focuses on the absence of production defects like misaligned eyes or chipped paint rather than rarity-based grading scales.
