Inspect the figure for high-quality paint application, consistent plastic molding, and the specific "Cute Eyes" variant design, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing, rough seams, or incorrect color saturation. Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for paint defects, such as missing eyes, scratches, or scuffs, and verifying that the box is free from significant damage like crushed corners or deep creases. For a formal grade, you should submit the item to a third-party authentication service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's and packaging's preservation. Be aware that grading fees and turnaround times vary by service, and the process is not necessary if you are simply buying for casual display.
