The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Rapunzel (Gold) Pop! Disney is not considered a rare item, as it is part of Funko's standard Gold Wave production line which is released in significantly higher quantities than exclusive or limited-edition variants. While Gold Wave figures are less common than standard black box releases, they are widely available through major retailers and secondary markets, making them relatively easy to find for collectors.
The value of the 2022 Funko Pop! Rapunzel (Gold) #223 varies significantly based on condition, with sealed figures typically trading between $30 and $50 in the current secondary market. Because gold variants are often part of limited production runs, prices can fluctuate depending on availability and collector demand. For the most accurate and up-to-date valuation, it is best to check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or specialized collectibles databases.
To authenticate your 2022 Rapunzel (Gold) Pop! (SKU 223), verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and that the figure itself has the correct proportions, smooth plastic finish, and accurate paint application consistent with the 2022 release. Check the base of the figure for the molded "Funko" logo and ensure the gold coloration is uniform without the dullness or unevenness often found in counterfeits. If the packaging features the standard holographic sticker and the figure matches official product images in detail, it is likely genuine, though definitive authentication may require comparison with a verified original from a reputable retailer.

The Rapunzel (Gold) Pop! Disney, released in 2022, is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from Funko. As a limited-edition gold variant, it is now a discontinued item that can only be found on the secondary market through third-party resellers.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for paint defects, scratches, or chipped plastic, particularly on the head and hair, which are common wear points. For the Gold variant, verify that the metallic finish is consistent and free of scuffs, as these figures are often more susceptible to surface damage than standard matte finishes. While you can perform a basic visual inspection at home, obtaining an official grade requires submitting the figure to a third-party grading service like Pop Grading, which will assign a numerical score based on specific criteria.
