Common questions about the Ray Bourque Pop! Hockey from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Ray Bourque Pop! Hockey figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's mainstream hockey line, meaning it was widely distributed and is generally easy to find in new or used condition. While specific exclusive variants may have lower print runs, the base figure itself is a common collectible.
The value of a Ray Bourque Funko Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 68) varies significantly based on condition, packaging, and current market demand, but it typically trades in the range of $10 to $25 for a standard sealed figure. As a common release from the NHL collection, it does not command a premium price compared to rarer or limited edition variants. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay is recommended.
You can authenticate your Ray Bourque Pop! Hockey (SKU 68) by checking the packaging for the official Funko logo, a scannable QR code, and a holographic sticker on the box. The figure itself should have a smooth, uniform vinyl finish with clear, sharp paint application and the "Funko" branding molded into the base. If the packaging is missing or the figure has visible seams, discoloration, or blurry details, it is likely a counterfeit. For definitive verification, you can compare the item against high-resolution images of the authentic product on Funko's official website or consult a certified authentication service.
Funko does not publicly disclose specific release dates for individual Pop! figures in their official records. While the figure is part of the NHL collection, precise launch timing for SKU 68 is not reliably documented in available public sources.
Funko has discontinued the Ray Bourque Pop! Hockey figure, meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. While it may occasionally appear on the secondary market through resellers, it is not currently available through standard retail channels.
To condition-check a Ray Bourque Pop! Hockey, inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, and verify that the head is properly seated on the body without gaps. Check the acrylic window for cracks or scratches and ensure the base is intact and free of scuffs. Since these items are not typically graded by major third-party services like PSA, their value is determined by their original factory condition and the presence of the original packaging.
