Common questions about the Remy (Diamond) Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Remy (Diamond) Pop! is not considered rare because it is a standard production variant of the character that has been widely available since its release. Diamond variants are a common colorway option for many Funko Pop! figures and are generally mass-produced rather than being limited edition items. While specific production runs may vary, this figure is typically easy to find in retail stores and online marketplaces.
The value of the Remy (Diamond) Pop! Disney (SKU 1201) fluctuates based on market demand and condition, but it typically trades in the range of $20 to $40 for a sealed figure. Prices for opened figures are generally lower, often falling between $10 and $20. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay is recommended, as Funko Diamond variants do not have a fixed retail price that holds constant over time.
To authenticate a Funko Pop!, first verify that the box is sealed with the standard Funko shrink wrap and that the figure's paint application is clean without visible brush marks or bleeding. Check the base for the correct copyright date and the "Made in China" marking, as well as the specific SKU number 1201 on the box. Be aware that the "Diamond" designation is not an official Funko product line, so if the figure features a diamond finish, it is likely a third-party modification or a counterfeit, as Funko does not produce diamond-coated Remy figures.
Funko does not publish specific release dates for individual Pop! Vinyl figures, and the Remy (Diamond) variant is not widely documented with a precise launch date in public records. As a limited edition diamond variant, it was likely released as part of a special promotional run or convention exclusive, but without official manufacturer data, the exact release date cannot be confirmed.
Funko has discontinued the Remy (Diamond) Pop! Disney figure, meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. While the item may occasionally appear on secondary markets like eBay or Amazon, these listings typically represent used inventory or third-party stock rather than new releases.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you should assess the condition yourself by inspecting the figure for paint transfers, scratches, or molding defects. For the Remy (Diamond) variant specifically, check the clarity of the diamond finish and ensure the eyes are properly aligned, as these are common points of failure. You can also verify the SKU and packaging integrity against known authentic examples to rule out counterfeits, but a formal numerical grade is not available.
