The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Remy (with Ratatouille) Pop! Disney is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released in 2022 as part of the main Disney lineup, meaning it was widely available and is not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The Remy (with Ratatouille) Pop! Disney (SKU 1209) is a standard retail release that typically sells for between $10 and $15 when new in box. Because it is a common figure from a major franchise, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price, and used copies are generally worth less than $10.
To authenticate your Remy (with Ratatouille) Pop! (SKU 1209), verify that the figure is made of solid vinyl with a smooth, uniform finish and that the eyes are printed with sharp, distinct detail. Check the base for a clear, legible copyright stamp and the specific SKU number, and ensure the packaging box features the standard Funko logo and product description without smudged text. If the figure feels lightweight, has visible mold lines, or the paint appears faded or uneven, it is likely a counterfeit.
The Remy (with Ratatouille) Pop! Disney was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation for the Remy (with Ratatouille) Pop! (SKU 1209), so it is technically considered in print. However, availability for this specific 2022 release is often inconsistent, and it may be out of stock at major retailers, requiring buyers to check current inventory on Funko's website or authorized resellers to confirm immediate purchase options.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, molding lines, or misaligned eyes, while also verifying that the head is properly seated and the base is intact. For this specific SKU, you should ensure the Ratatouille accessory is present and undamaged, as missing parts significantly reduce value. If you require a professional grade, services like Beckett Authentication or PSA can evaluate the item, though they typically focus on authentication and major flaws rather than a detailed numerical condition scale for standard production figures.
