Common questions about the Rex (Space Helmet) Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Rex (Space Helmet) Pop! Disney figure is not considered rare, as it is a standard production item from Funko's widely distributed Disney line. It was released as part of a regular series and is generally available through major retailers and secondary markets, meaning it does not carry the scarcity of limited edition or exclusive variants.
The value of a Funko Pop! Disney Rex (Space Helmet) #1091 varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a standard retail item, an unopened box typically trades between $15 and $25, while a loose figure generally sells for less. Prices can fluctuate based on current market demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine its exact current worth.
To authenticate a Funko Pop! figure, first verify that the packaging is a sealed, original box with the correct SKU (1091) and that the figure itself has a smooth, consistent plastic finish without visible mold lines or paint overspray. Check the base of the figure for a clear, legible copyright stamp and ensure the character's proportions match official Funko reference images, as counterfeit items often feature distorted features or low-quality printing. While there is no single definitive test for authenticity, significant deviations in color, texture, or weight compared to known genuine examples are strong indicators of a fake.
The exact release date for the Rex (Space Helmet) Pop! Disney vinyl figure (SKU 1091) is not publicly documented in reliable sources. While this item is part of the Disney Star Wars collection, Funko does not typically publish specific launch dates for individual SKUs, and third-party tracking data for this specific variant is inconsistent.
Funko has discontinued the Rex (Space Helmet) Pop! Disney figure, so it is no longer in print or available to buy new from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this item must look for used copies on the secondary market, such as eBay or other resale platforms.
To condition-check a Funko Pop! figure, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, and verify that the helmet accessory is intact and securely attached. Check the box for any damage, creases, or signs of previous opening, as unopened figures in pristine boxes command higher value. For a formal grade, you can submit the item to a third-party authentication service, though this is rarely necessary for standard retail collectibles.
