The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Rey Mysterio Pop! WWE (SKU 93) is not considered rare, as it was a standard mass-production release from 2021. It was widely available through major retailers and Funko's direct channels, making it a common item in the WWE line.
The value of the 2021 Rey Mysterio Pop! WWE (SKU 93) varies significantly based on condition and market demand. As a standard edition figure, it typically trades in the $10 to $20 range when new in box, while used copies generally sell for $5 to $12. Because this is a common release from a major manufacturer, it does not command a premium price unless it is a special variant or in pristine condition.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! WWE Rey Mysterio (SKU 93, 2021), first verify the packaging: the box should feature the standard Funko branding, a barcode, and a holographic sticker on the back. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp facial details, and the correct Rey Mysterio mask design. Check the base for the embossed Funko logo and ensure the figure is securely attached. If the vinyl feels lightweight or the paint is smudged, it may be a counterfeit.
The Rey Mysterio Pop! WWE was released in 2021 by Funko.
The Rey Mysterio Pop! WWE (SKU 93) is currently out of print. It was released in 2021 and has since been discontinued by Funko, meaning it is no longer available to buy new directly from the manufacturer. Collectors typically need to seek out third-party retailers or secondary marketplaces to find new-in-box units.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or dust, and verifying that the head is properly seated on the body. For a formal grade, you must submit the item to a professional grading service such as PSA, which will evaluate the figure's overall condition and assign a numerical grade. Since the 2021 Rey Mysterio Pop! is a standard mass-produced item, its value is primarily tied to its condition, so even minor flaws can significantly impact its resale price.
