Common questions about the Riku Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Riku Pop! Disney (SKU 488) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the Disney Kingdom Hearts line that was widely distributed through major retailers and Funko's own channels. While specific variants like Chase or Exclusive editions may be harder to find, the standard version remains readily available on the secondary market.
The value of a Riku Pop! Disney (SKU 488) varies significantly based on condition and market demand, typically ranging from $10 to $25 for a new, unopened figure. Prices for opened figures are generally lower, often falling between $5 and $10, depending on the state of the packaging and the figure itself. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay is recommended.
To authenticate your Riku Pop! Disney (SKU 488), first verify that the figure is made of vinyl and features the standard Funko Pop! logo on the base. Check the packaging for a clear, undamaged window, a printed SKU number matching 488, and a holographic sticker, as these are standard security features for genuine releases. If the paint application is sloppy, the proportions look off, or the box lacks these specific identifiers, the item is likely a counterfeit. For definitive confirmation, you can compare the figure side-by-side with high-resolution images of the official release or consult a trusted Funko authentication service.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for the Riku Pop! Disney (SKU 488). While Funko releases figures in waves throughout the year, exact dates for individual SKUs are not consistently documented in public records, so I cannot provide a verified release date without speculating.
The Riku Pop! Disney (SKU 488) is currently out of print and no longer available for purchase new from Funko or major retail partners. Because the figure has been discontinued, new copies are generally only available through the secondary market, such as eBay or other collectibles resellers.
There is no official third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you cannot obtain a certified grade for this item. To assess condition, inspect the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or chipped plastic, and verify that the head is properly seated and the base is intact. For the Riku Pop! Disney (SKU 488), check specifically for clarity on the eyes and any discoloration on the fabric elements, as these are frequent points of wear.
