The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Ripley in Spacesuit Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2019 Aliens release, and because it was widely distributed, it is generally easy to find in new or used condition. Its market value typically remains close to its original retail price rather than commanding a significant premium.
The value of a new-in-box Funko Pop! Ripley in Spacesuit (SKU 732) typically ranges from $10 to $20, while used copies generally sell for $5 to $10. As a standard release from 2019, this figure does not command a premium over its retail price, and its market value fluctuates based on current demand and condition.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Ripley in Spacesuit (SKU 732), first verify that the packaging includes the official Funko logo and a holographic sticker, which are standard security features for 2019 releases. Examine the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the correct sculpting of the spacesuit details, as counterfeits often exhibit sloppy molding or color inaccuracies. If the item lacks these markers or the box appears worn with missing security elements, it may be a reproduction, so consulting a community database of known fakes for this specific SKU is recommended.
The Ripley in Spacesuit Pop! Movies was released in 2019 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the production of the 2019 Ripley in Spacesuit Pop! Movies figure, so it is no longer available to buy new from the manufacturer. While the item is out of print, it may still be found on the secondary market through resellers, though prices often fluctuate based on condition and demand.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, missing eyes, or misaligned parts, while also verifying that the original packaging is free of significant damage like crushed corners or heavy shelf wear. For a formal grade, you can submit the item to a third-party authentication service like PopGraded, which will evaluate the figure and box, assign a numerical score, and encase the item in a protective slab. Keep in mind that grading fees and turnaround times vary by service, and the grade reflects the item's condition at the time of submission.
