Common questions about the RM Pop! Rocks from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the RM Pop! Rocks is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s Pop! Rocks line, which consists of small, mass-produced figures released in 2022. These items were widely distributed and are generally available for purchase at retail prices, making them common collectibles rather than limited-edition pieces.
The Funko Pop! Rocks RM (SKU 279) is a standard retail collectible that typically sells for around $10 to $15 in new, sealed condition. Because it is a common item from the 2022 release wave, its value does not significantly increase over time, and prices for used or opened figures are generally lower.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Rocks #279, verify that the packaging is a standard sealed box with the correct 2022 release date and SKU 279 printed on the label. Examine the figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct "Rocks" branding on the base, as counterfeits often feature blurry printing or off-color plastics. If the item is unopened, check that the seal is intact and the box dimensions match the standard Funko Pop! size. For definitive verification of a high-value item, submitting it for a third-party grading service like PSA or Beckett is the most reliable method.
The RM Pop! Rocks was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Rocks are a limited-edition series that was discontinued in 2022, so the RM Pop! Rocks is no longer in print. It is not available to buy new from Funko or authorized retailers, and any listings for new stock are likely mislabeled or fraudulent. Collectors seeking this item must look for used copies on the secondary market.
RM Pop! Rocks are mass-produced novelty items intended for casual consumption, so they do not have a standardized grading scale like traditional collectible vinyl figures. To condition-check one, you should inspect the packaging for any tears, creases, or moisture damage and verify that the internal candy is intact and unexpired. Because these items are not typically submitted to professional grading services, their value is generally determined by whether the original packaging is unopened and in mint condition.
