The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Robert Smith Pop! Rocks is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's Pop! Rocks line that was widely distributed in 2022, meaning it is generally easy to find in new condition at retail prices.
The Robert Smith Pop! Rocks (SKU 306) is a standard mass-produced vinyl figure that typically retails for under $10. In the secondary market, unopened copies generally sell for between $5 and $15, while opened figures often trade for less than $5. Values for this specific item fluctuate based on current demand and condition, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate real-time pricing.
To authenticate your Robert Smith Pop! Rocks figure, verify that the packaging is a sealed, shrink-wrapped box with the correct Funko branding and the specific SKU 306 printed on the label. Examine the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the absence of excess plastic flash or mold lines, which are common indicators of counterfeits. Additionally, check that the figure's proportions match the standard Pop! Rocks scale and that the base is solid and properly aligned with the character. If the packaging appears damaged, the print quality is poor, or the vinyl feels unusually lightweight or soft, it is advisable to have the item evaluated by a professional authentication service.
The Robert Smith Pop! Rocks was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Robert Smith Pop! Rocks (SKU 306) and it is no longer in print. Consequently, the figure is not available to purchase new directly from Funko or major retail partners. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
Pop! Rocks are vinyl figures with a distinct rock-and-roll texture, and grading them typically involves inspecting the surface for mold lines, paint defects, or chips in the textured finish. Because the rock texture is intentional, distinguishing between manufacturing flaws and actual damage requires careful visual inspection under good lighting. There is no standardized third-party grading service specifically for Pop! Rocks, so condition is usually assessed by the seller or buyer based on the presence of these common defects.
