No, the Ron Burgundy Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's 2020 release of the *Anchorman* series, and it was widely available through major retailers. Because it is a common variant with no special production markings, its market value typically remains close to its original retail price.
The value of the Ron Burgundy Pop! Movies figure (SKU 947) varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a common mass-produced item from 2020, the loose figure typically sells for a few dollars, while the sealed box generally commands a price between $10 and $20 on the secondary market. Prices can fluctuate based on current demand and the specific platform where it is listed.
To authenticate your Ron Burgundy Pop! Movies (SKU 947), first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo, the "Pop! Movies" branding, and the correct SKU number on the side or bottom. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper eye alignment, and a smooth, uniform plastic texture, as counterfeits often exhibit sloppy paint lines, cloudiness, or incorrect proportions. You can also cross-reference the packaging details and figure design against official Funko product images or reputable collector databases to ensure the specific 2020 release matches the original specifications.

You can assess the condition of a Ron Burgundy Pop! by inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or cracks, paying close attention to high-contact areas like the hands, head, and base. Check the eyes for any cloudiness or misalignment, as these are common defects in Funko figures. While you can perform a basic visual inspection at home, obtaining a professional grade from a third-party service like PSA or Beckett is the only way to receive a standardized condition score for resale purposes.
