To authenticate your Funko Pop! Sally (Gingerbread) #1243, first verify that the box is sealed with the standard Funko shrink wrap and that the printed SKU matches 1243. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the correct glossy finish on the gingerbread elements, as counterfeit items often exhibit blurry printing or rough edges. Funko Pop! figures are generally produced on a limited-run basis, and specific character variants like the Gingerbread Sally are frequently discontinued once their initial production run is sold out. As of the latest available data, this specific item is not currently listed as in print on Funko's official website, meaning it is no longer available to buy new directly from the manufacturer. Collectors typically need to seek out this figure through secondary markets, such as eBay or specialized toy resellers, where prices may vary based on condition and demand.
There is no official third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you should assess the condition yourself by inspecting the vinyl for scratches, paint chips, and molding defects. Pay close attention to the eyes, which are prone to peeling or fading, and check the packaging for any damage if the figure is sealed. For unsealed figures, verify that the box is square, the window is clear, and the hang tab is intact, as these factors significantly influence resale value.
