The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
Yes, the Sam as Leprechaun Pop! is considered rare because it is a Chase variant, which typically has a production run of approximately 1 in 300 standard figures. This significantly lower availability compared to the standard edition makes it a sought-after item among collectors of the Disney franchise.
The value of the Sam as Leprechaun (Chase) Pop! Disney figure fluctuates based on its condition and market demand, but it typically sells for between $40 and $60 in mint condition. As a Chase variant, it commands a premium over the standard edition, and prices can rise if the item is sold in its original sealed box. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay is recommended.
To authenticate your Sam as Leprechaun (Chase) Pop!, first verify that the figure is a Chase variant, which is typically distinguished by a gold-colored base and a gold "Chase" logo on the box, rather than the standard white base found on regular editions. Check the packaging for the correct SKU 1289 and ensure the box features the official 2022 Disney branding and copyright notices. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, clean seams, and the correct Funko logo on the base, as poor quality control is a common indicator of counterfeits. If the item lacks these specific Chase markers or exhibits manufacturing defects, it is likely a fake or a mislabeled standard edition.
The Sam as Leprechaun (Chase) Pop! Disney was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Sam as Leprechaun (Chase) Pop! Disney, so it is no longer in print. This item is no longer available to buy new from Funko or its official retail partners, meaning collectors must seek out secondary market listings for any remaining stock.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface defects such as scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, and verifying that the head is properly seated on the body without gaps. For Chase variants, it is critical to confirm that the packaging is sealed and the box is free of significant damage, as the Chase status is tied to the unopened retail box. If you are seeking a professional grade, third-party services like Pop Grading will evaluate the figure and box, assigning a numerical score based on these factors, though this is optional for casual collectors.
