Common questions about the Sam Pop! Movies from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Sam Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2022 and is widely available through major retailers and secondary markets. Because it was produced in large quantities, it does not carry the scarcity value associated with limited edition or exclusive variants.
The value of a Funko Pop! Sam (SKU 1242) varies significantly based on its condition, whether it is in the box, and current market demand. As a standard 2022 release, it typically sells for between $5 and $15 on the secondary market if unboxed, while a sealed, unopened box generally commands a higher price, often ranging from $15 to $30. Prices can fluctuate based on specific sales events or collector interest, so checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current valuation.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without visual inspection, and I do not have reliable information confirming that SKU 1242 corresponds to a "Sam" character in Funko's 2022 movie lineup. To authenticate your figure, you should check the packaging for a holographic sticker, verify the SKU on the box matches official Funko release databases, and examine the figure for consistent paint application and molding quality compared to known genuine examples.

Funko has not publicly announced the discontinuation of the Sam Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1242), so it is likely still in print. However, specific production runs can fluctuate, meaning availability may vary by retailer. I recommend checking current inventory on major Funko retailers' websites to confirm if it is available for purchase new.
To condition-check a Sam Pop! Movies vinyl figure, inspect the surface under bright light for scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections, and verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of defects. Check the base for any cracks, chips, or unevenness, and ensure the figure stands upright without wobbling. If the item is still in its original box, examine the packaging for creases, tears, or fading, as sealed boxes typically command higher value than loose figures.
