Common questions about the Sam Pop! Movies from Funko (2020).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Sam Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1036) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released in 2020. Because it was widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces, it remains an easily accessible item for collectors today.
The value of a Funko Pop! Movies: Sam (SKU 1036) varies significantly based on condition, with unopened figures typically trading between $10 and $20 while opened figures generally sell for $5 to $10. As a standard production item from 2020, it does not command a premium price in the secondary market unless it is part of a complete set. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay is recommended.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without visual inspection, and I am not aware of a standard Funko Pop! SKU 1036 specifically designated as "Sam" from 2020. To authenticate a Funko Pop, you should examine the packaging for the official Funko logo, check the vinyl for consistent molding and paint application, and verify the SKU number on the box against Funko's official catalog or reputable collector databases. If the item lacks a license seal or has poor print quality, it is likely a counterfeit.
The Sam Pop! Movies was released in 2020 by Funko.
I cannot confirm with certainty whether the Sam Pop! Movies (SKU 1036) is currently in print, as Funko frequently discontinues specific movie tie-in figures without public announcements. Availability for new purchases fluctuates rapidly across retailers, so checking current stock on major Funko reseller sites is the most reliable way to determine if it can be bought new.
Grading a Funko Pop! figure like Sam (SKU 1036) typically involves submitting it to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, Beckett, or CGC, which will evaluate the item on a 1-10 scale based on factors like paint condition, seam lines, and packaging integrity. For a casual condition check, you can inspect the figure under bright light for paint chips, scratches, or "pop" marks on the vinyl, and verify that the box is free of significant creases, water damage, or shelf wear. Keep in mind that most standard retail Funko Pops are not individually graded by the manufacturer, so any professional grade will come from an external entity.
