Common questions about the Sam Pop! Movies from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Sam Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1242) is not considered rare, as it is a standard production item released by Funko in 2022. These figures are manufactured in large quantities and are widely available through major retailers and secondary markets. While specific variants like exclusive editions may have lower print runs, the standard version is a common collectible.
The value of a 2022 Sam Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1242) depends heavily on its condition and whether it is in the original packaging. Generally, these standard movie figures retail for approximately $10 to $12, and used copies in good condition typically sell for less than that amount on secondary markets. Because this is a common, mass-produced item rather than a rare variant, it does not command a significant premium above its original retail price.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without visual inspection or access to the item's unique serial numbers. Generally, Funko Pop! figures are authenticated by checking for high-quality paint application, precise molding, and the presence of a holographic sticker on the box, though these features can be replicated by counterfeiters. For a definitive authentication, you would need to consult a professional third-party grading service or compare the item against verified images from Funko's official catalog.
The Sam Pop! Movies was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose real-time inventory or definitive end-of-print dates for specific items, so it is not possible to state with certainty if the 2022 Sam Pop! Movies (SKU 1242) is currently in print. Availability fluctuates frequently, and the item may be out of stock at major retailers like Target, Walmart, or the Funko Shop while remaining available through third-party resellers.
There is no standardized third-party grading service specifically for individual Funko Pop! vinyl figures, so condition checking is done manually by the owner. You should inspect the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, chipped vinyl, loose joints, or misaligned eyes, and verify that the box is free of significant wear, creases, or damage. For collectible value, the presence of the original shrink wrap and an unopened box is the primary indicator of "mint" condition, while any opening of the packaging significantly reduces its resale value.
